Anselm Reyle & Franz West
Stolen Fantasy
24. March – 22. April 2012
Opening: 23. March 18:00

Seemingly constructivist figures made of edgy metal elements, rock-like formations that could just as well be pedestals as sculptures, and between them lamps, chairs and a vehicle with rollers suggesting an office chair. Color, bright and overflowing, reigns above all. The exhibition Stolen Fantasy by Anselm Reyle and Franz West consists of an assortment of objects, the artists created together for the Schinkel Pavillon. The Austrian Franz West has a long tradition of collaborating with befriended artists, and the Berlin-based artist Anselm Reyle exchanged unfinished works to be modified in the studio of the other. This process was continued until either one of the two artists decided that the work is now completed and the object is finished.
