The title and the content of Johannes Albers’ exhibition Das Finale refer to the short tale Das Stadtwappen by Franz Kafka, which describes the utopia of the Tower of Babel. The exhibition deals with the end of the current culture. Like scenes from forgotten action movies, the six aquariums depict the aftermath of an unnatural disaster. Nevertheless, the exhibited objects seem to promise an approach to rescue the spirit of genius and creative power at the same time.
