Fashion and design beyond the logic of value creation and human hubris.

Louis A. Krüger works at the intersection of speculative design and botany. In her performance Neophyt Wanderungen, she uses living and organically growing garments to investigate the interactions of cross-species aesthetics that defy a linear and dualistic thinking and thereby renegotiate the relationship between human and nature, subject and object, activity and passivity. Together with the artists, performers and musicians Lina Krüger, Jonas Mahari and Jolle Orso, Louis A Krüger creates an installative sound performance that draws a »dialogical design« as a posthuman utopia in which garments are created as a communal act, ritual and ceremony, as a laboratory and sacred site.

With her collection Homo Femcolage, Isabell Schnalle operates on the activist potential of design and fashion, referring to the post-growth movement and transformational design – how can we better distribute and use existing resources? How can a »world of less« be organised? And what rights of human and non-human agents are involved? In recycling-friendly outdoor clothing, the performers occupy the garden of Kronprinzenpalais. As Homo Femcolage, they slip into the role of futuristic eco-feminists and form a protest community in which general welfare and post-growth systems are negotiated and an appeal is made for the modernization of the globalized, capitalist logic of value creation and growth.
